CROESO 2012 got off to an early start in late May with the local Mid Wales club, POW, hosting an event on Carn Owen. This was the original venue for CROESO day1 but car parking issues made it unavailable. An excellent venue and terrain with great courses from Robert Griffiths, CROESO local access officer.
The highlight of the day for most of us was when two ospreys flew over the start area. There is a pair of ospreys nesting at the Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve, where they have laid 3 eggs. Cors Dyfi Nature Reserve is en route to Day 1 and very close to Day 2. So watch out up above when running at the Day 2 area, Foel Goch, you never know who will be watching.
