The event centre is based at the Guild of Students (Students' Union). Results will be displayed along the walls and it is a great social gathering place with comfy sofas to relax in and 7 pool tables at one end. There is a wide selection of quality hot drinks alongside the usual bar service. There are large TV screens and a big screen projector to provide coverage of the beginning of the Olympics. There is also an excellent entertainments venue in the Guild of Students which will be the location for the social programme.
Entertainments
The Entertainments team are putting together a great programme of events.
There will be a chance to find out more about the fascinating geology and wildlife of the competition areas. The renowned Erwyd Howells will give a talk about the shepherding communities in the Cambrian Mountains.
There will be nights to kick your heels up to a Welsh Twmpath (similar to a Scottish Ceilidh) and the sounds of a popular local band.
Get a team together and come along to the Quiz Night and the Five a Side Football Tournament!
