Registration

Registration will take place in the Event Centre on Saturday 21st July, from 10:00am to 8:00pm. The Event Centre is in the Students' Union on Aberystwyth University main campus. All pre-entered competitors must collect their registration packs on arrival at Croeso, at times and places as below. No registration materials will be sent out beforehand.

Registration will also be possible at Enquiries in the Assembly Area on Days 1 - 6, from 8.30am to 4.30pm, but if using this option on Day 1, please arrive early as there may be a queue.

Each competitor/group will receive a registration pack which includes

  • Competitor bibs, giving start numbers and start times for each day (plus info on which start too) - safety pins will be available separately
  • Croeso social programme
  • Competitor event programme (a folded A3 mini-booklet, similar to that at Oban 2011)
  • Final details - these will update the event programme (printed 2/3 weeks before Croeso starts)
  • Car parking stickers

Directions to the Event Centre Parking at Penglais School:

The car park is to the north of Aberystwyth in Waunfawr at Penglais School, Waun Fawr, Aberystwyth, Ceredigion, SY23 3AW

If approaching from South or West when nearing Aberystwyth follow the university yellow mortarboard sign (see image on the left) which will lead you to the university main campus entrance SY23 3BY, then continue past the entrance up the hill and take the first right to Waunfawr then the first right into Cefn Llan road and then left into Penglais school campus.

If approaching from the North on the A487 at the top of the hill before you enter the town of Aberystwyth, take the left turning to Waunfawr and then the first right into Cefn Llan road and then left into Penglais school campus.

There will be a one way system in operation at the school all week:-

Entrance SN600818; Exit SN602819 as left.

Please enter the school by turning from Waunfawr road past the fish and chip shop, south into Cefn Llan road and enter the school from Cefn Llan.

You will exit the school north east onto Waunfawr Road

Please be aware that to the south of the school Cefn Llan is a very steep hill and not recommended for large vehicles and caravans. The approach must be made into the school from the north side from Waunfawr Road onto Cefn Llan.

The Event Centre is 300m walk to the west of the school school past Brynamlwg Tavern to the Students Union on the Main Aberystwyth University Campus.

Please do not drive onto the university campus, the campus is busy with other events and arrivals of those staying on campus and it will be easier for you to access the Event Centre on foot.
